My third ENTERPRISE was called Dusk No 21567 and was made by Lloyd Walker. She was a beautiful boat and had a reinforced transom to receive an outboard-motor, handy when the wind disappears. She also had two chrome fittings in the side decks to receive rowlocks / oars. The year was 1998 and l attended my first World Championships in Bray (Ireland), a truly remarkable experience that I will never forget. I was disapointed with my position even though it was my first major competition. I swore I would never sail on the sea again. I bought Dusk from a chap called Andrew Dawson who gave me a box full of back issues of the Enterprise Association Diary. I still enjoy looking back over the years to see who was doing what and with whom! |
| My fourth ENTERPRISE No 22447 I named TACK-E, she was built by Tony Prior, again outstanding craftsmanship. We did the Nationals at Poole in1999 and Mounts Bay 2000. We were usually at the back of the fleet but we enjoyed the sailing and the people at the back of the fleet were always good company. We were all learning together - some faster than others. | ||
