Middle Nene SC
This joint Enterprise Midland /Eastern area event was held at Middle Nene SC on 10 April attracting an excellent turnout of 22 boats.

Race 1 got underway with the Race Officer setting a triangular course, Ant Clay / James Holmes (SoulSailor RA) took an early lead which they held to the finish, closely followed by Mike Cossey / Christine Barron, ( Tamworth SC) with Martin & Laurence Davies( Rugby & Daventry SC) third.

Local sailors Jane / Nick Scutt had the misfortune to be demasted. (Who forgot the pins, Nick!!!)

Race 2 started with a more adventurous course and Jane / Nick putting the disappointment of the first race behind them to take line honours with Ant / James in second place. Martin/ Laurence in third place.

There was all to play for in the final race with 3 possible winners of the event. Jane / Nick and Ant / James played their own games on the first lap allowing Mike / Christine to take the lead which they held until the penultimate lap when they were put under pressure from Jane / Nick causing them to hit the leeward mark, and capsize whilst doing their penalty. Leaving Jane / Nick to take the gun and the event .

A good day's sailing was had by all the competitors and congratulations to Middle Nene SC on a very well run event.
