Arrived at Abersoch 19.45
Drove down the beach between bathers and scattered GP's
unloaded the boat and went in search of our accommodation.
Saturday
Boats arriving no cars allowed on beach, long hike pulling your boat to
dinghy park!
Scrutineering
Went on throughout the day lots of whinging!!
Special mention for our Rear Commodore Paul Young, measurements to the
limit, short jib stick too short and his fairleads 2mm out, Paul was not
a happy camper!!!
My crew Ray Ball and his wife retired for an early night to their accommodation
the Harbour Hotel only to find a Rave in progress until 2.00!!!!
Weather forecast - back end of Hurricane Alex expected overnight

Went down to the beach full of expectation - let down, disappointed, sailing
abandoned, gutted!!!!!
Six boats went out anyway.
Evening
Commodore's reception, nice welcome first of the nightly prize draws.
Severe weather warning / thunder / torrential rain
Monday-
No wind!!!!!! Disappointed
Went out did one race light wind
Second race abandoned after the start
Six and a half hours on the water -towed in
Ant Clay and James Holmes best result at the Nationals 3rd in race 1
Tuesday
Light wind again
But managed to squeeze three races in.
Eight hours on the water
Shattered
Wednesday
Bright but no wind
Beach games played and lots of small groups helping out with boat tuning.
Sailing abandoned at 14.30
Went swimming
Thursday
Wind at last
Good sailing two races.
Pack up the boat
Attend the prize giving
Ray won the Speed Sails Jib in the prize draw
